Mendi Short,( a home schooling mom for 8 years,) has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for 22 years as a Teacher and a Director. She completed her education at the nationally acclaimed Early Childhood Program at Diablo Valley College which serves as a model preschool environment and she has studied under the renowned Early Childhood Education Expert Bev Boz.
”If it hasn't been in the hand then it can't be in the brain.” Bev Boz.
”This is one of my favorite quotes from Bev. It is what inspires me to put together a ”hands on” sensory motor class. When I was home schooling my children one of my biggest challenges was creating child directed environments that the kids could explore and experiment in without having to worry about the cleanup. We spent a lot of time outdoors. With these classes I hope to facilitate this need indoors and bring the joy of learning that comes from children being able to explore in their own time, space, and use of materials.” Mendi Short
