Soccer, Outdoor Spring Coed Soccer League

Welcome to Jefferson County’s Spring Outdoor Soccer Program. Our objective for youth sports is to help young athletes not only become better players but also better people. We recognize that not every athlete can be on the winning team, but every participant can be a winner in the Rec Spring Outdoor Soccer Program.

Details:


• Pre-K – 6th Grades, separate divisions Pre-K/Kinder, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th grade, and 5th/6th grades (teams will be co-ed).

• All game schedules, will be posted here on the Jefferson County Parks and Recreation website. Click on the link below for the game schedule. (coming soon)

• The league will commence with practices starting April 8th and will conclude end of May. Games and practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30pm (PreK-2nd) or 5:30pm (3rd-6th).

• PRACTICE SCHEDULE: Team coaches will call participants' families with practice times and information about your team.

• Team T-shirts will be given out as soon as they come in. Shirts are ordered after teams are created, so occasionally there will be a delay in shirt availability for late registrations.

• WE PLAY IN THE RAIN!! In the case of severe inclement weather, cancellations will be posted on our website and Facebook page. There will be no practices while school is out for holidays, on half days of school, or on days where there are school-scheduled evening functions. SMOKING IS PROHIBITED on field facilities.

• The Rec Outdoor Spring Soccer program is designed with the family in mind. Please take an interest in your child by participating with him/her during practices and at home. Practice the skills that he/she learns from the coach. Be a role model in leading by example during games so that your children will learn to control their frustrations if things don’t go their way. Parents must stay calm on the sidelines. Yelling instructions is not allowed. Coaches and gym stewards, not the officials, are required to control unruly parents.

All P&R volunteers working with youth must pass a background check. Please
download a form from the link below under "Additional Files" tab or stop by the Public Works
office 623 Sheridan St. in PT. (please bring two forms of I.D. All P&R
volunteers must submit this form at least two weeks prior to events.
