The Proposed Jefferson County Equestrian Park
- A public private partnership between the JEA and Jefferson County Parks and Recreation
- Proposed to be located on property owned by the Jefferson County Solid Waste Division
- The property is North of Cape George Road near Trailhead Park, and South of the Solid Waste Transfer Station
- Proposal to build an 80 acre equestrian park
- Will be a multiple purpose public park with trails, parking, restrooms, water etc
- Will feature riding rings, stables, and multiple purpose trails for the general public to enjoy
- The JEA and Jefferson County have successfully negotiated a long term operation agreement and license to develop this exciting new park

Beausite Lake is a Public Private Partnership for the Benefit of the Whole Community
- Beausite Lake County Park and Northwest Kiwanis Camp is operated by the Kiwanis through a long term lease with Jefferson County Parks and Recreation
- It is available to the general public by reservation
- Fees are modest and are used to support the facility
- During the summer the camp focuses on special recreation
- During the remainder of the year, the camp is available for rental as a conference facility
- Camp amenities include a large multi-story house that is converted for conferences, meetings and camps
- A great place for a wedding, a family re-union, a corporate retreat, a church group etc
- Beausite Lake County Park also functions as a nature and wildlife preserve and is contiguous to Gibbs Lake County Park
