- The Lake Leland Campground is currently closed for the Winter Season. We hope to see you back in the Spring of 2012! Thank you for a great summer. Thanks to the volunteers who opened and operated this campground.
- Sea Kayak Enthusiasts: our parks are the place to launch your excursions. Try North Beach Park, Irondale Beach Park, Indian Island Park, East Beach Park for exciting saltwater adventures, birdwatching, checking out the bioluminescent plankton at the mouth of Chimacum Creek, or discovering Marrowstone Island! - “Volunteer camp hosts wanted for Oak Bay Family Campground. Outgoing couple needed to join our vibrant team of staff and volunteers. You provide campground supervision and light maintenance in exchange for a camp site with hook ups (no sewer). We provide 90% of maintenance and lots of support. Help us improve the lives of children and families, and protect nature. 6 mo. position from April 1 to October 31, 2012. Open until filled, first review of applications January 3, 2012. - North Beach Park currently needs volunteers. If you are interested in a long term volunteer job, or a short term project please let me know as soon as possible. Projects include removing graffiti, cutting brush from the back of the restroom, cleaning the inside of the restrooms, painting the inside or outside of the restroom, and pruning the trees. Long term jobs include garbage patrol, setting up a recycling system, hauling the garbage, and helping to mow. Thank you to all of the volunteers who help maintain North Beach Park at this time.
