  • A metropolitan parks and recreation district (MPD) research steering committee has been formed by the City of Port Townsend and Jefferson County. The meetings of the MPD Steering Committee are open to the general public. The first meeting is scheduled for March 21, 2013 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, at the Chimacum Grange, 9572 Rhody Drive, Chimacum, WA 98325. The agenda for the first meeting is: welcome, introductions, perspective, process elements, MPD formation principles, next steps, and adjournment. Public comment will be taken at 9:10pm.
